School visits to the library
Design your own library visit using any of the our services below:
- storytelling
- story reading
- library quizzes
- reader’s theatre
- music (with instruments)
- action songs
- library tours
- or use our space in the Library to do your own thing (bookings are necessary).
Either way we warmly welcome children to visit Whangarei Central Library.
Library Roadshow
Book a visit with our Library Roadshow and have the library come to your school.
At present, two programmes are available one for primary school age children and the other for intermediate school age.
The programme includes many different ways to tell a story: storytelling, story reading, puppetry, reader’s theatre and stories by song.
There are book reviews and fun readings of excerpts from great books.
For more information please contact the Children's Services Librarian.
