Come along and join in the fun with music, stories and crafts at the Whangarei Central Library, 10 am to 10.45 am on:
• Wednesday 8 July
• Thursday 9 July

• Thursaday 16 July.
Please note: All children attending these sessions must be accompanied by an adult. |

Workshops based on the book
'Juicy Writing' by Brigid Lowry.
Go on a journey where you can doodle, daydream and discover your creativity - then write hard and fast into the wild land of your imagination.
Find out how to make your writing juicy and original.
What do you need to begin? Where can you find ideas?
How can you make your writing better? What can you do if you get stuck?
Please note: These workshops are designed for children
aged 9 years and over.

Art Competition
Celebrating Cultural Diversity
Draw a picture of what culture means to you using pencils, crayons, markers, pastels or paint and be into win great prizes.
Write your name, age, phone number and address on the back of your picture and drop it into the Whangarei Central, Kamo, Onerahi or the Mobile Libraries.
Entries close 22 July 2009.
Entries will be displayed at Whangarei Central Library before and during the Festival.
Prizes: 0-4 years win $25; 5-8 years win $50;
9-12 years win $75; 13-18 years win $100.
