Get the Help You Need

Whangarei Libraries are offering a new free personalised service for anyone needing help to use library services and some computer based tasks.

You can book a librarian at a mutually agreed time at Whangarei Central Library for a one-on-one session for assistance with:

  • The Library catalogue - how to find an item, request and renew items, manage your library card account
  • Researching a topic using the Internet and our online resources
  • Setting up and using an email account
  • Internet basics and social media
  • Downloading eBooks, eMagazines and eAudiobooks from our Library websites onto your device
  • Discovering new books and authors that match your interests.
This service is available Monday to Friday between 9 am and 5 pm.

To Book a Librarian

  • Send an email to bookalibrarian@wdc.govt.nz with:
    • Your name
    • Daytime phone number
    • Preferred date and time
    • An outline of the help you require.
  • Phone us on 09 430 4206
  • Ask at the Information Desk next time you are visiting our libraries.
We will get back to you within 2 working days to confirm your booking.
