Whangarei Friends of the Library short story writing competition
Whangarei Friends of the Library in conjunction with Whangarei Libraries are hosting a short story competition for young writers between 9 and 18 years. Over $1,000 in prizes to be won!
Note: Entry is open only to residents of Whangarei District area.
Prizegiving Ceremony
Monday 20 November, 5 pm in Cafler Suite, Forum North, 7 Rust Ave, Whangarei.

How to enter
Write a short story on any subject in no more than 1,500 words.
Please attached the following to your entry:
- Name
- Age
- Phone number
- Postal and email address
Submit Entries
Take your entry to the information desks at: Whangarei Central, Onerahi, Kamo, Tikipunga Libraries or the Mobile Library when it is visiting your area
Email your entry attached as a Word or PDF document to:
whglibrary@wdc.govt.nz with Friends of the Library Short Story Competition in the subject field.
