Free Public Talk - All Welcome

Comedian and TV personality Mike King is coming to the Library to give a free public talk about Normalising the Inner Critic - "that little voice inside our heads that's constantly second guessing us."

King has just completed his I Am Hope Aotearoa Tour 2018, where he and a bunch of mates rode Suzuki 50cc scooters from one end of the country to the other. Along the way they stopped at around 45 schools and community halls and spoke to more than 20,000 school kids and adults about mental health, and how every one of us can be the hope someone needs when times are tough.

The Key to Life Charitable Trust. The Key to Life Charitable Trust (KTL) is a community-focused support group aiming to forever change the way New Zealanders think, act and feel about mental health. Their specific goal is to work alongside health professionals, service providers and those within our communities to promote attitudinal change throughout Aotearoa.
