My Monitor Online Computer Services

Do it all online - Use My Monitor to top up your Library card, reserve a computer at any of our libraries, submit a print job from your own device and pay your library fines.

Reserve a computer at Whangarei Libraries.

My Monitor

My Monitor is an online facility for Library services and fines payments, computer reservations and printing.

Create an account with My Monitor to:

  • Top up your Library card or tickets for Library services
  • Reserve time on a computer at any of our Library branches
  • Upload and submit a print job from your own device to a printer at the Library
  • Pay your Library charges and fines.

Create a My Monitor account

To set up your My Monitor account click on the button below:

My Monitor Sign In.

Enter a valid Whangarei Libraries card number and PIN then tick to accept the Terms and Conditions.

If you are not a Whangarei Libraries member, you can:

  • purchase a ticket from the kiosks at any of our libraries and enter the number on it (Patron Ticket Number)

  • or create a New Patron Ticket account.

To use My Monitor you will need to have an email address and password.

When you are logged in the main account page is displayed with your My Monitor account balance, recent Library services activity and current Library fines and charges.

From here you can:

  • Top Up your account
  • Change your settings - change email address and PIN or specify if and when you want My Monitor account statements emailed to you
  • View your activity log
  • View statements
  • Access the My Monitor help guide

Top Up My Monitor account

Payments are by credit card only.

To top up your account click on the green Add Value button and either select the amount you want to add or enter a dollar amount

Click the Options button to set up email reminders to top the account up when the balance falls below a specified value.

To pay fines

Once you have topped up your My Monitor account click the red Pay button, (which displays only when you do have fines owing), then tick the box or boxes next to the charges you wish to pay.

Reserve a computer

You can reserve a public computer at any of our Library branches online in advance.

Computer sessions are: 15 minutes, 30 minutes or up to a maximum of 60 minutes.

The computers at Whangarei Central Library are:

  • Public PC which have full Internet access and cost 20 cents per 3 minutes to use.

  • E-Learning are free of charge but have limited Internet access for career information, CV preparation, homework and study purposes, school and home-school groups.

The computers at Kamo, Onerahi and Tikipunga Libraries are all Public PCs and cost 20 cents per 3 minutes to use.

To reserve a computer log into My Monitor Computer Reservation service

Click Manage Your Accounts & Reservations to make changes to your email address, add phone numbers and change or delete your computer reservation dates and times.

Print to the Library

You can submit print jobs from your internet-enabled device such as a laptop, tablet or smart phone to the Library printers. You can print from within the Library or from home.

  • Log into My Monitor Web Print

  • Click the Change button to select paper size, colours and one or two-sided printing.

  • File print: Click Select file... to upload your documents - maximum file size is 100MB

  • Web Print: Enter the URL of the webpage or document you wish to print

  • Send Email Attachment: You will have to register your email address before sending us an email.
    Send your email to print@whangarei-libraries.co.nz
    If there is an attachment on your email we will print that otherwise we will print the email.

A4 per page: black and white 10 cents; colour $1

A3 per page: black and white 20 cents; colour $2
