Spark Jump.

Spark JUMP helps families get home broadband so their children can learn online at home.

Spark JUMP is a low-cost, pre-pay internet service for families with school-aged children and no current broadband connection who live in the 4G coverage area. No landline, contract or credit is required.

JUMP costs $10 for a pre-paid 30 GB data pack and a free WiFi modem. The data-pack expires after 30 days and so must be topped up monthly. A free $10 Spark Jump voucher for the first top up is sent to you when you set up your modem at home.

JUMP is subsidised by the Spark Foundation and available through Digital Inclusion Alliance Aotearoa (DIAA). In Whangarei JUMP is available through Taitokerau Education Trust at Whangarei Central Library.

How to get Spark JUMP

Register for a free set-up workshop at Whangarei Central Library.

At your JUMP session, you will register your brand new modem*, create your top-up account, sign a Kawa of Care and get tips on what you can do with 30GB.

Once completed you’ll walk out with a ready-to-go wireless modem that is preloaded with your free first 30GB/30-day data. At home, you just plug into power and use it with a tablet, laptop, computer or smartphone.

If you already have an email address, please bring it with password to the workshop, as it will be required for registering for the Spark JUMP service. If you do not have an email address you will have the opportunity to set one up at the workshop.

Also bring a digital device (smartphone, tablet, Chromebook or laptop computer) to test that the connection is working.

*Free modem – the modem is loaned to you, for as long as you use the JUMP prepay service.
If you sign up with another provider later on, you’ll need to give the modem back.
